Isobar, a Dentsu Aegis-owned digital agency network, announced today that it has elevated three of its executives to the global C-suite level, effective immediately. Sue McCusker has been appointed chief client officer, Caroline Dean named chief marketing officer and Vikalp Tandon becomes chief technology officer, all of which are new roles.
Previously, McCusker, Dean and Tandon were global client director, global director of marketing communications and senior vice president of data and technology, respectively.
“In today’s fast-moving digital economy, agencies need to continually transform themselves to best service their clients,” Isobar global CEO Jean Lin said in a statement. “Caroline, Vikalp and Sue have played an important role in developing the vision and leadership needed to shape our business and brand strategy across our client, marketing and technology functions, and their promotions will ensure we continue to power our global agenda and drive excellence in our experience-led transformation proposition.”
All three executives report to Lin. McCusker and Dean will be based out of Dentsu’s London headquarters with Tandon working in Isobar’s Boston office.
Dean has served as global director of marketing communications since she joined Isobar in November 2016, and the announcement touts her achievements in leading and growing that division across the network’s worldwide offices over the past 18 months. Isobar said Dean has been critical in developing a brand proposition and service offering, driving business-to-business marketing, leading global events, elevating thought leadership and promoting key work. As CMO, she will continue to build momentum in those areas as well as working to attract new clients and talent.
Before coming to Isobar, Dean was vice president of international marketing at Sony Pictures.
McCusker, having held the title of global client director since 2015, has been “pivotal to Isobar’s continued success in both leading and growing the agencies’ key client relationships and building the business,” according to the Dentsu network. As chief client officer, she will oversee key global accounts and business development and work with Isobar’s worldwide network to ensure it is delivering experience-led transformation for clients.
Prior to joining Isobar, McCusker was the CEO of Publicis Hong Kong. Notably, she was also the first female chair of the 4A’s Hong Kong division.
Tandon came to the Dentsu team in May 2016 after spending more than 15 years with Publicis Groupe’s SapientRazorfish, where he was vice president and global strategy lead. As chief technology officer, he will drive and connect Isobar’s expanding tech and commerce community while leveraging its global tech partnerships.
In April, Isobar named Deb Boyda, another SapientRazorfish veteran, as its new U.S. CEO.
