Publicis Media has a new chief executive overseeing agencies Zenith, Moxie and MRY.
Lauren Hanrahan has been promoted to the role, tasked with accelerating agency growth and culture and working with clients across the agency roster. She will report to Publicis Media Americas CEO Tim Jones.
Hanrahan replaces Sean Reardon, who is leaving for an unspecified role outside the company. Reardon will remain with Publicis Media through April to aid in the transition process.
“Sean was a highly effective CEO and we wish him nothing but the best in his new opportunity. Looking to the future, I’m pleased we are able yet again to promote from within—I think it says a lot about our organization and people,” Jones said in a statement. “Lauren has proven to be a tremendous leader, adept in delivering for client needs as well as galvanizing and developing world-class capability and talent for the agency. She is the perfect leader to take Zenith U.S. forward as it continues to bring its ROI+ proposition to life.”
Hanrahan explained that the structure of a single CEO for Zenith, Moxie and MRY has been in place for a couple of years and proven successful, “with all three brands growing their client rosters and remits over the past years.”
“It was led by a desire to further bring together media, technology, digital, content and data to drive client impact,” she told Adweek. “Each of the agency brands have their own unique cultures and capabilities. The single leadership is in place to scale operational excellence for the clients and teams and to unlock seamless solutions to best serve clients.”
She added that Publicis Media plans to keep the existing structure in place.
A 15-year agency veteran, Hanrahan spent the last three years serving as global lead for Publicis Media’s business development and communications practice, contributing to new business wins including GlaxoSmithKline, Marriott and Molson Coors.
She previously held business development leadership roles at Mediavest and Starcom.
