R/GA has a new managing director in the agency network’s largest office.
R/GA promoted Robin Forbes to managing director in New York, tasking him with partnering with the agency’s senior leadership team to manage and grow the New York office, fostering its culture, facilitating collaboration across office talent and furthering relationships with new and existing clients.
Forbes joined R/GA back in 2014 and previously served as senior vice president, group managing director, overseeing a team of over 100 on accounts that included Johnson & Johnson, Verizon, Jet.com and Samsung. Prior to joining R/GA he spent over 13 years as part of the senior leadership team for Blast Radius, rising to the role of managing director, North America before leaving for R/GA.

R/GA has undergone a series of senior leadership changes this year, beginning with global chief creative officer Nick Law’s decision to leave the agency to join Publicis at the beginning of the year. The following month, R/GA promoted Richard Ting to the new role of global chief design officer. In April, the agency made a series of promotions in a creative leadership restructuring. The following month, chief creative officer Chloe Gottlieb left to join Google as director of user experience, and last month chief creative officer Taras Wayner revealed he’s leaving the agency to join Saatchi & Saatchi New York as chief creative officer in September. Also last month, global chief design and innovation officer Chris Colborn left the agency to join global creative consultancy Lippincott as chief experience officer and director of its innovation practice.
