Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day is a longstanding tradition in the U.K. Folks dress up in festive sweaters and make donations to the relief organization that helps kids around the world.
Yes, in the U.K., sweaters are called jumpers. Blimey, just deal with it!
It’s a fun way to do good while wearing garish garments adorned with sparkly smiling Santas, knitted Xmas trees that light up and play “Joy to the World,” fluffy reindeer faces (Rudolph’s nose flickers, natch), and who knows what all else.
It’s become a popular event, particularly in offices and other workplaces, where employees pull together, wearing wacky pullovers and raising funds.

Adam&eveDDB invented Christmas Jumper Day for the client back in 2012, so it’s not surprising that agency staffers really go wild with cumbersome, gaudy, sweaty sweaters each year in its own office—and that fact inspired the new commercial. We’re told that one year, an employee dressed up head-to-toe as a fully decorated Christmas tree. Deck the halls!
