Arnold Wins Boiron Biz

The New York office of Arnold has landed creative duties on Boiron’s line of homeopathic products after a review, sources said.

To land the business, the Havas agency bested two other finalists that sources previously identified as MDC Partners’ Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners and independent ML Rogers, both in New York. Account billings are estimated at $12-15 million.

Final presentations took place in late March and early April at Boiron’s U.S headquarters in Newton Square, Pa.

Boiron’s homeopathic products — including Oscillococcinum and Coldcalm — are designed to provide relief from pain, colds and the flu. The company’s global headquarters is in Sainte-Foy-les-Lyon, France.

The creative competition followed a media review, which resulted in the hiring of Publicis Groupe’s Optimedia in New York. Consultancy Ark Advisors handled both searches.

Ark did not return calls, and Arnold could not immediately be reached.

Arnold and Optimedia succeeded Interpublic Group’s Tierney in Philadelphia, which had handled both creative and media duties. Tierney did not defend in the creative review.
