Baby For The Millennium

One Orange County ad agency can truly lay claim to having pulled off the ultimate millennial coup.
Millennium Advertising’s Nirvana Alonso went into labor New Year’s Eve while rushing to complete a multimedia project for a client. Just as she and her team were wrapping up, Alonso, a designer at the Costa Mesa, Calif., agency, calmly informed her co-workers, “I think my water broke.”
Alonso was rushed to the local hospital, which at 4:39 a.m. welcomed its first delivery of the New Year–a healthy 7-pound, 10-ounce baby girl.
Alonso, her husband Mark and their new bundle of joy, Ansell, became instant celebrities, making the front page of the local paper.
“The last place we thought we would spend New Year’s Eve was in the hospital,” Mark Alonso told the Daily Pilot.
Nirvana is taking some time off from work, but is expected to return to Millennium later this year.
