Gotham, ML Rogers Await Vivartia Decision

NEW YORK Two New York shops are awaiting a decision in a pitch for pan-European creative duties on two lines of products from Vivartia’s bakery division, sources said.

Sources identified the finalists as Interpublic Group’s Gotham and the incumbent, independent ML Rogers.

The products are 7 Days croissants and Bake Rolls, according to sources. The Greece-based client is said to be seeking television and print advertising.

Annual media spending on the brands is estimated at more than $15 million.

Final presentations took place last week, said sources.

A New York-based consultancy, Roth Associates, is helping to manage the search. Roth did not return calls and the agencies either declined to comment or could not be reached.

ML Rogers landed the pan-European account of what was then Chipita International in 2005.

In 2006, the snack and bakery business of Chipita merged with Delta Holding to form Vivartia. Chipita’s brands now make up the bakery and confectionary division of Vivartia, according to
