Lee Doyle Steps Down as N.A. CEO at MEC

Had been in role 4 years

Lee Doyle is leaving his job as CEO, North America, for Mediaedge:cia after a 12-year stint at the WPP Group agency.

The company said Doyle “has decided to take a new direction in his career within Group M and WPP,” a “role that will be announced in due course.”

Charles Courtier, MEC’s global CEO, will assume management responsibility for MEC’s North American operations until “the new CEO is onboard,” according to the agency.

In a statement, Courtier said, “Lee has been hugely influential at MEC as CEO for the last four years and since he joined the company in 1999. Under his tenure, the agency has grown by 40 percent, a stunning achievement. But it’s not goodbye—Lee is committed to the group and vice versa. We will see him in a new role soon.”
