Mintz & Hoke has hired senior writer
Jon Eckman. Eckman will work primarily on the Webster Bank account and report to chief creative director Chuck Borghese. Eckman came to the Avon, Conn., agency from Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago, where he was copywriter on the Coors Light “Beer man” campaign, among others.
Arnold Communications has promoted Don Shelford and Tim Vaccarino from art directors to senior art directors and Carl Loeb and Shane Hutton from copywriters to senior copywriters. All four work on the Volkswagen account.
Gearon Hoffman has added assistant account executive Sarah Mazur, formerly in marketing at Houghton Mifflin. The Boston shop also promoted Cathi Lyons from administrative assistant to media reconciliation coordinator.
CGN Marketing & Creative Services, Boston, has appointed Matt Even digital designer and Raychel O’Keefe print production specialist. Even was a freelancer, and O’Keefe was a production manager at Signature Communications.

Dickinson Direct has hired Belinda Brewster as associate creative director. She has experience in direct marketing forT. Rowe Price, Blue Cross & Blue Shield and Philips Publishing.
Thea Grace Morgan has been appointed director of interactive services at the Direct Results Group, Boston. She will oversee Web sites and e-marketing campaigns for clients such as GTE Internetworking and Ladysgolf.com. She was a Web specialist at Rational Software in Lexington, Mass. Direct Results also has hired account executive Julia Murstein and graphic designer Amanda Epperson. An Australian, Murstein has more than four years of agency and client-side experience in Australia and England. Her last position was as a marketing planning executive with BoysTown Lotteries, one of Australia’s largest children’s charities. Epperson comes to the agency from Adams Design & Marketing Solutions.
Target Marketing & Promotions has promoted Jamiea Dennis from account executive to account manager and Ayelet Rosenfeld from travel and incentives coordinator to account manager. Dennis manages many of the Boston agency’s Jose Cuervo projects. Rosenfeld will work on UDV accounts.
Eymer Design, Boston, has promoted Neal Stennet to director of new business development from account representative. Stennet has a background in photography and retail in the Boston area.
David Kolstad has joined Coherent Diagnostic Technology as vice president of marketing. The Westford company develops systems for medical imaging and microscopy applications. Kolstad was previously worldwide marketing manager for the imaging systems division for Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard.
