Rock Bands Play New Venue

A print campaign from Pagano Schenck & Kay is building a buzz for the region’s first “trading cards” featuring local musicians.
The Boston shop’s black-and-white ads for Kaos Kards feature slogans such as “A testament to rebellion and anarchy,” “Ordered sequentially and complete with a checklist” and “When baseball players die, their cards skyrocket in value. And musicians don’t live nearly as long as athletes.”
Copywriter Tim Cawley developed the ads with art director Kevin Daley. The work is appearing in regional music magazines.
Pagano was tapped for the assignment based on its award-winning work for Mortal Music Recording Studios and independent record label Checkered Past.
Kaos Kards, also in Boston, has produced 83 cards featuring bands such as Letters to Cleo and The Del Fuegos.
