Shaun Holliday Out as MPG’s N.A. CEO

Shaun Holliday is out as CEO Havas’ MPG North America unit, the shop confirmed today.

He joined the agency in January of 2009. Since then, the shop has had some setbacks on the client side, most notably losing the North American portion of the Reckitt Benckiser account ($500 million) to ZenithOptimedia last fall. Also lost late last year: Boehringer ($155 million) to Mindshare.

And last month it lost the CBS Films account ($100 million) to MediaVest.

The shop said that Maria Luisa Francoli, MPG’s Global CEO based in New York, will assume Holliday’s North American responsibilities. Holliday will stay on through a transition period until June.

Francoli has held several roles within MPG since starting with the company in 1993. She was appointed Global CEO in 2006. Soon after, she relocated to New York from the MPG headquarters in Spain to focus on growing the North America operation.
