Becca Weigman has joined IPG’s TM Advertising in Dallas as president and managing partner of the 160-person shop.
She succeeds Tom Hansen, who left last summer for Heelys Inc.
Weigman comes to TM from Omnicom-owned DM specialist Rapp, where she most recently served as U.S. chief marketing officer. From 2001-06, she was with Trahan Burden Charles, where she served as evp, strategic planning and new business. Her other career stops include Arnold, Bozell and Doner.
Now, she will lead TM with managing partners Dave Weaver, Bill Oakley and Byron Nelson, who serve as chiefs of strategy, creative and operations, respectively. (Oakley was elevated to CCO as the year began.)
TM counts American Airlines, the American Heart Association, Discover Network, Texas Tourism and HP among its key clients.
Though long a player in the Southwest, the agency has lost momentum of late, most notably following the defection about a year ago of Nationwide Insurance, a $185 million piece of business, to independent McKinney.
