‘Black Ops’ Orders More Burger Man. Well Done

A star has been born in TBWA\Chiat\Day's campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops. It's the burger flipper who was seen double-fisting the handguns at the end of last year's "There's a soldier in all of us" promo (the one that also starred, oddly yet wonderfully, Kobe Bryant and Jimmy Kimmel). Now, as Joystiq notes, Burger Man is back in the game's new "Escalation" map pack trailer. (Both ads are below.) People love this guy—what's his deal? TBWA's Rob Schwartz tells us his name is Justin Fahimian. Born and raised in L.A., he's a photographer who was between gigs when a casting director called him, having spotted his picture on a mutual friend's Facebook page. He's also a gamer. He was hired as an extra, but got the plum gig of closing out the original spot. So, he's now a star—though perhaps a reluctant one. "Justin had no aspirations of being an actor," says Schwartz. "Guess he doesn't have a choice now."
