Virgin Mobile’s Boob-Flashing Spot Gets Covered Up

Actresses are in their 20s but look younger

Check out this dreck—a Virgin Mobile commercial from South Africa that was just banned for appearing to sexualize young girls. The ad shows four girls flashing their breasts at a rock star on a red carpet. Three of the girls soon pull their shirts down, but a fourth is stuck in place, as she is apparently a wind-up toy who has stopped turning. "We know what running out of airtime feels like," says the idiot copy. The actresses are all in their 20s, but the country's advertising watchdog ruled that if they looked and acted like girls under 18, then to the viewer they are under the age of 18.
