I didn’t see many accessories specifically designed for the iPad in the Apple Store when I bought my iPad yesterday. They had a bunch of different cases (including Apple’s case), the iPad dock, and the VGA connector. My VGA connector was shipped on Saturday. So, I didn’t buy that. I’m waiting for the keyboard dock and spare power supply to become available.
This doesn’t mean I don’t have other accessories for the iPad though. In the photo above, you can see my iPad in Apple’s case sitting on an angled stand designed for notebook computers. It turns out this Rolodex Laptop Stand works quite well with the iPad – particularly when the iPad is in the Apple designed case.
That’s MicroVision SHOWWX laser pico projector (picop) sitting on the open iPad case flap. It was designed to work with the iPhone and comes with a cable with a iPhone connector on one and and a micro-USB connector on the other. It turns out to work quite well with the iPad too.
That’s an ancient (at least 5 years old) Think Outside folding Bluetooth keyboard at the bottom of the photo. I bought it to use with a variety of Windows Mobile devices. But, it works fine with the iPad.
I’ve also got a small case (not in the photo) designed for netbooks from Case Logic that works quite well for carrying the iPad around.
Each of these items will be discussed here in more detail over the next couple of hours and days.
