The Magazine Publishers of America last night presented the Kelly Awards for outstanding magazine advertising at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan. Communications behemoth R. R. Donnelly sponsored the event.
Following the usual round of drinks and cocktails scored by an unusual selection of Neil Young and Pearl Jam songs, the crowd of magazine and advertising folk honored such campaigns as “Haagen Dazs Five” (winner of the top prize) and Taylor Guitars’ “Always Our Tune” (winner of the Gold Kelly”).
