Adobe Flash Player & AIR for Beta Announced But Not Available – Annoying Notification Process Required

I don’t want to see Flash sites on my Android phones. But, I will admit that there are a couple of Adobe AIR apps for the desktop that I’ve found useful (AccuWeather Stratus & Twhirl – though apparently an abandonware now). There are lots of good weather apps for Android. So, AccuWeather’s AIR app probably wouldn’t be interesting there. And while Twhirl might be interesting on Android, it appears to be abandoned by Seesmic. And, Seesmic for Android is the best Twitter client I’ve tried so far on Android, anyway.

I’m not quite sure which Flash/AIR apps would be interested on an Android phone. You can sign up to get notified when the beta releases are available.

Adobe is making the notification process as annoying as possble.

1. You need to have or create a separate Adobe ID
2. Each beta requires a separate sign-up
