This has been one of the strangest springs for millions of sports fans around the world. Right now, three U.S. professional leagues—the MLB, the NBA and the NHL—would be in full swing, and a fourth—the NFL—would be seeing teams preparing for mini-camp. But not this year. No NCAA tournament, no Indy 500, no Kentucky Derby. Pitchers, catchers, guards, forwards, cars, horses—all of them are sidelined.
But digital platforms devoted to sports and their fans are keeping the mostly homebound engaged and entertained.
Today on Adweek Together, executive editor Stephanie Paterik talks with Barstool Sports CEO Erika Nardini about how the site and its many podcasts, video series and blogs are adapting in these times without sports.
Adweek Together is a daily live discussion, at noon ET, hosted by our editors along with the leaders of the companies we cover, seeking guidance, solutions and information—together. For inquiries and feedback, email us at email@example.com.
