Alan Thicke’s Final Appearance on ESPN’s Dan Le Batard Show

Thicke called in to radio program Dec. 8.

Alan Thicke recently played in Chris Evert’s charity tennis tournament. And last week, Thicke, a friend of ESPN Radio’s Dan Le Batard Show, was on once again.

Thicke started out Dec. 8 by talking about a recent trip to Canada and the fact that the beaver is his native land’s national symbol. A few minutes later, a game-show gag about the prize of turtle wax led Thicke to crack up the hosts with the observation: “I’ve never waxed my turtle. I got my hands full with beavers.”

Thicke had traveled to Canada to accept the Canadian Icon Award at the 2016 Whistler Film Festival. He was inducted into the Canada Walk of Fame in 2013. TMZ was first to report the death of Thicke today at age 69. RIP.
