Artforum has announced that its editor in chief, Tim Griffin, is leaving the top spot at the magazine. He will stay on as editor at large. Senior editor Michelle Kuo replaces him. Kuo is also a PhD candidate in the history of art and architecture at Harvard.
“Editing Artforum has been a fantastic privilege and deeply fulfilling, but I’ve done what I can do in this capacity,” Griffin said in Artforum’s announcement of the change. “I’m excited that the publishers share my interest in exploring new possibilities related to the magazine, and that I will also have the opportunity to devote more energy to writing and teaching.”
