The Bureau of Labor Statistics is halfway through its first ever Web chat where four experts from the Current Population Survey and the Current Employment Survey are answering users’ questions.
Anyone can drop in, so if you have a burning question, you have until 10:30 am EST.
As with any online endeavor, the quality of questions has varied widely:
From “Does the BLS make available the raw data results of the surveys? Does the BLS provide publicly the formulas that are applied to the raw data in order to arrive at the results that are provided in the monthly labor report? If so, where are these available?” (Answers: No, yes.)
To: “How many birth death jobs were there this month why is this report released on good friday”
Sigh. Good old Internet.
