Atlantic Media Business Site On Hold

Atlantic Media means business — just not right away.

DailyFinance reports that the company’s plans to launch a business-news site are on indefinite hold, with the relaunch of its National Journal occupying most of its resources.

Atlantic Media president Justin Smith said in an email to DailyFinance:

Yes, it’s on hold for now, but we are still committed to doing it, possibly pushing it to next year. The honest reason is that a lot of management bandwidth (me, David Bradley) has been eaten up by the upcoming relaunch of our National Journal brand, so we’ve put it on the back burner for now.

DailyFinance added that Adam Pasick, who had been in charge of the project, left the company to become managing editor of New York Magazine‘s NYMag.com.
