John Stamos Causes a Twitter Stir in Canada

A second-year psychology student at Toronto’s Ryerson University is over the moon – not to mention now managing multiple media interview requests – thanks to a couple of unexpected direct tweets from actor John Stamos.

The Toronto Star‘s Sarah Millar broke the story yesterday of how the actor came to the rescue of Natalie LĂ©ger (@nataliediamond, pictured), a 19-year-old who took to the micro-blogging service to bemoan her inability to get tickets to a Thursday April 7th performance in Niagara Falls by the Beach Boys. In short order, Stamos was informing her that he would hold two tickets for her at will call, and that she should come by after the show to say hi backstage.

Stamos’ publicist, Matt Polk, confirmed Stamos’ tweet was legit and that the actor-musician will leave two tickets for Thursday’s show for Léger. And, while Stamos has given away concert tickets before, Polk said Léger’s tickets mark a first for Stamos.

“He certainly hasn’t done this through Twitter before,” Polk said.

Stamos has been a personal friend and frequent bongo collaborator of the California group since the 1980s.
