Bloomberg Launches Gadfly

Don't worry about the name.

Screen Shot 2015-11-16 at 8.32.41 AMBloomberg’s fast-commentary site Bloomberg Gadfly is live. Despite its name—which just sounds old—the site is intended to be young and hip; featuring quick takes on financial news. Most pieces aren’t much longer than 700 words.

Gadfly is overseen by Bloomberg View executive editor Tim O’Brien. O’Brien’s team is made up of a handful of editors and more than a dozen columnists.

“Our goal is to provide rapid, smart takeaways on the day’s most important news on markets, finance, companies and technology,” explained Bloomberg editor in chief, John Micklethwait.
