BookBrewer is also the company that runs Borders Get Published, one of Borders’ poorly conceived attempts to get into eBooks. While Amazon, Smashwords, and B&N accept eBooks without an upfront charge, Bookbrewer charges a minimum $20 fee before you even sell an eBook.
In exchange for that $20 BookBrewer will distribute your eBook to major eBookstores. Guess what? Smashwords will also distribute your eBook to all the same eBookstores and it won’t change you an upfront cost.
