The Super Bowl has officially entered the future.
From Jan. 30 through Super Bowl Sunday, Amazon is partnering with BuzzFeed and the new Honda CR-V to bring football fans a tasty new way to make game day snacks.
After watching two recipe videos, Guacamole Cannoli and Cookies & Cream Empanadas, shoppers can continue to Amazon’s The Upgrade page to purchase those ingredients. If you buy the ingredients through that page, Amazon will provide free one-hour delivery all thanks to the Honda CR-V.
Honda will be advertising during the Super Bowl itself with a nostalgia-themed spot starring celebrities in their high school yearbook days. This activation with the car company, Amazon and BuzzFeed is available online and won’t be promoted itself during the Big Game.
“BuzzFeed and Tasty alike are all about bringing people together and creating a human connection,” said BuzzFeed’s CRO, Lee Brown, “and we love when we can seamlessly integrate partners to bring Tasty further to life while also meeting our marketing partners’ needs.”
“We’re delighted to join Honda and BuzzFeed in helping customers easily ‘Upgrade‘ their game day experience,” said Jeremi Gorman, the head of North American advertising sales for Amazon Media Group.
“It doesn’t matter who’s playing this Sunday,” he said. “When we can work with brands to create seamless experiences like this, customers always win!”
Though it’s a bit nontraditional, this combination of brands is an example of what our Jetsons-esque future could be like, with both recipe videos and ingredients right at our fingertips.
If you’re interested, visit Amazon’s The Upgrade to learn more or to buy the ingredients. And be sure to stay tuned for a similar activation on Valentine’s Day, when Tasty and Amazon will offer up No-Bake Chocolate Raspberry Tarts and Creamy Slow Cooker Chicken. For now, you have until Feb. 5 to upgrade your snacking game.
