Vogue Hires Chloe Malle as New Social Editor

Since Alexandra Kotur left Vogue last month to be the new creative director at Town & Country, the magazine has tapped 25-year-old Chloe Malle as her replacement, WWD reports. She will have the title of social editor, and will oversee “Flash,” Vogue‘s society and style front-of-book section.

Malle is the daughter of actress Candice Bergen and the late French film director Louis Malle, so she would probably fit right into the society and style pages that she will edit.

Malle has spent the past year as the residential real estate columnist at the New York Observer, and has been freelancing for The New York Times’ Style section for the past six months. Moreover, FishbowlNY recalls how her mother Candice Bergen very convincingly played the editor-in-chief at Vogue in Sex and the City, so she may have picked up a few tips about how to act the part.
