Another PayPal executive has moved over to Facebook to work on its Messenger applications, this time on the communications side.

Facebook confirmed to Aarti Shah of The Holmes Report that PayPal vice president of global brand and communications Christina Smedley will join the social network later this year as director, communications, Facebook Messenger.

A PayPal spokesperson also confirmed Smedley’s departure to TechCrunch, saying:

We wish Christina all the best and thank her for her many contributions to our company over the past three years. The brand and communications teams are excited to build on PayPal’s momentum and to extend and deepen the influence of the PayPal brand as we engage our 170 million active customers around the world.

Former PayPal president David Marcus became Facebook’s vp of messaging products in June 2014, and former PayPal vp of growth Stan Chudnovsky followed suit in February, joining the social network as product manager for Messenger.

Smedley will report to the communications team, and not to Marcus, Facebook added in its confirmation to Shah and The Holmes Report.
