Also on the aggressive slate are How to Date Your Husband, which features Oprah.com relationship expert, Andrea Syrtash; and the dating-themed Single Life, a spinoff of DGB’s successful talker Mom Life. DBG execs also presented clips from the show Under the Arch, which they described as a “scripted reality,” which will follow a group of students at New York University, and Written Off, a mockumentary series about an exiled soap opera star.
DBG plans to handle production, distribution and ad sales for each of these new projects, easily one of largest collections of originals offered this year by one player in the online video space. “We’ll compare our 2010 slate to any traditional network,” said DBG chief creative officer Joseph Gomes.
