Denzel Does DC, PBS Newshour

My man is smooth like Barry, and his voice got bass. A body like Arnold with a Denzel face. He’s smart like a doctor with a real good rep...

Whoa, sorry about that!   My inner Salt-N-Pepa took over when I learned that Denzel Washington walks among us.  The Academy Award winner is in the District today for the launch of a new national program, through the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, called “Be Great: Graduate” which identifies kids who are at risk of dropping out and offers them help to finish school.  As part of his efforts, Washington will hit PBS Newshour to discuss the nation’s rising drop-out rates with Senior Correspondent Gwen Ifill.  #WhattaMan

The interview airs in DC at 6.00 pm tonight…or possibly 7.00 pm if you live in the boonies.
