If you have peeked at the latest GOP polls, you may have noticed that the two political outsiders—Donald Trump and Ben Carson—are leading the pack of 15 hopefuls. (Sorry, 14. What with Scott Walker and all.)
The rise to the top has done considerable favors for Dr. Carson—the fame, the press, the fanfare and now, the endorsements? Oh, you didn’t hear about that last one?
It all started with a familiar face searching for the spotlight at MTV’s Video Music Awards. Despite the fact they haven’t played videos since the Reagan Administration, there it is—videos and all their regalia. So, here comes Kanye West to take his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and during his speech, he concludes with this:
We gonna teach our kids that they can be something. We’re gonna teach our kids that they can stand up for themselves. We’re gonna teach our kids to believe in themselves. If my grandfather was here right now he would not let me back down.
I don’t know what I’m finna lose after this, it don’t matter though cause it ain’t about me. It’s about ideas bro, new ideas. People with ideas. People who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.
Whatever Yeezus. And since most of America felt the same, Kanye Kardashian was searching for some validation… and he found it in 2016 candidate, Dr. Ben Carson?!
Impressed with his business acumen? He knows business? Make some uplifting music? Wonder who Dr. Carson is “keeping up with” in the near future.
