Disney’s Descendants Mobile Game Launches on Mobile

The game sees players become the new student at Auradon Prep, a school for the children of Disney heroes and villains.

Disney has announced the release of Descendants, the official mobile game based on the Disney Channel original movie of the same name.

Developed by WayForward, the game allows players to create their own avatar and become a new student at Auradon Prep, a school for the children of famous Disney character.

Players are led through the game by quests, and will travel to locations from the film, like the Carnival Grounds and Gallery of Villains, as examples. During conversations with other characters, players are sometimes given the option to choose their dialog response.

As players complete quests, they’ll receive coins and experience points. Coins can be spent on new clothing and accessory items, and players will unlock additional items to purchase as they level up.

Separate from quests are missions, which see players spending energy on prompts relating to a specific activity. These activities are timed, challenging players to fill the activity’s progress bar before time runs out. As players complete missions, they’ll earn Spirit, which fills their character’s Legend Meter. The more ‘legendary’ their character becomes, the higher their social status in the game will be.

Over time, players may complete the last of their currently available quests, and will need to wait a set amount of time for a new quest to become available. Alternatively, players can spend premium currency to skip the wait and unlock the next quest instantly. Premium currency can also be spent on premium clothing items.

Descendants is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore and Windows Phone Store.
