Facebook Messenger: Here’s How to Create a Plan Within a Conversation

Participants will be reminded before an event begins.

Did you know Facebook Messenger allows you to plan events with your contacts without leaving the application? When a plan is created, the app will remind each participant before it begins. Our guide will show you how to create a plan within the Messenger mobile app.

Step 1: Tap the conversation you want to create a plan in.

Step 2: Tap the user’s name at the top of the screen.

Step 3: Tap “Start Plan.”

Step 4: Select the date and start time for your plan by scrolling through the wheels that appear.

Step 5: Tap “Save” to create the plan.

Step 6 (optional): If you want to add a name and/or location to the plan, tap “Plan.”

Step 7 (optional): Tap Name and/or Location to add a name and/or location to the plan.

If you tap “Name,” the following pop-up will appear:

If you tap “Location,” you’ll be taken to the Location page where you can search for or manually enter a location:

Step 8 (optional): Tap “Done” to save your changes.
