Facebook is taking aim at pages that post repurposed video clips from other sources, without any editorial input of their own.

The social network revealed in an update to an April blog post that pages that primarily resort to posting this type of content will see their distribution limited.

Facebook added that its content guidelines for monetization have been updated to exclude “content that primarily consists of unoriginal or repurposed content from other sources with limited or immaterial added value” from being eligible for monetization.
