Faded offers film-inspired photo customization options on iPhone

While iOS photography buffs have dozens of solid options available for photo editing software, Vintage Noir’s Faded looks to become users’ one-stop-shop for all of their photo manipulation needs. Inspired by the look of film, Faded offers plenty of options for transforming each image from something bland to something amazing.

Faded allows users to import images from their camera roll, and offers ample customization options outside of basic filters. The app offers 34 free filters, with 36 more available as a separate purchase. These filters can be previewed in a large grid, and then combined with many other effects to fine-tune the final product.

The app offers support for changing image exposure, contrast, brightness, temperature, tint and much more, while the in-app camera offers a live bar for altering exposure before a photo is ever taken (as well as a timer for self-portraits). Users can combine images via an overlay system, or can simply add a pattern or solid color as a mask on top of the base image. These masks can be customized as well, in terms of filter and opacity, among other options.

Elsewhere, users can choose from a variety of light leaks, emulsions, picture frames and gradients, mixing and matching all of the app’s customization options until they’ve found the perfect look. If users find a particularly cool look, they can save those edits as an “Action” in their favorites, allowing them to be added to all future pictures with a single tap.

Finished images can be saved to the camera roll or shared to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, Dropbox, Evernote or email.

Faded is now available to download on iPhone for $0.99. You can follow the app’s growth on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
