Kick Buttowski Creator Slides Over to Fandango

It began last fall with the hiring of Dave Karger as chief correspondent. It continues this week with the addition of a vp of content and creative. is fully committed to the idea of becoming a content producer and as the company’s new chief creative executive, Sandro Corsaro (pictured) will now lead that charge. From this morning’s announcement:

“Sandro is one of the most talented content creators in the industry,” said Paul Yanover, president of Fandango. “I’m thrilled he’ll be bringing his creativity and experience to Fandango, to help enhance the consumer experience and engagement across our platforms, driving business objectives for both ticketing and advertising.”

Corsaro was most recently the creator and executive producer of Disney XD animated series Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. He has also served as creative director for Disney Interactive, where he oversaw two full relaunches of

Fandango has so far produced two digital video series – the film awards season chronicle The Frontrunners and new releases preview Weekend Ticket. For the latter, Karger most recently sat down with 42 star Harrison Ford to ask about that movie’s liberal but historically appropriate use of the “N” word. Earlier this week, The Frontrunners received a Webby Award nomination in the Variety category.
