foursquare Calls Time Out New York

Time Out New York became the latest media outlet to check in with location-based social game foursquare.

Under the agreement between the two companies, foursquare users can unlock the new Time Out New York Happy Hour badge by checking in at four of the 30 pre-approved locations, which will offer happy hour specials and deals.

Time Out senior Web editor Michael Martin said:

Social media has become an essential part of going out in New York City, and with our foursquare partnership, Time Out New York is leading the way as a new-media nightlife authority.

Time Out digital business director Marci Weisler added:

Time Out New York always guides New Yorkers to the best places to play in the city. Now, not only can we spread the word about the best places for drinks, but we also let our users earn the TONY badge by visiting our picks and indulging in great drink specials.
