FunClick Raises Money For Multiple Sclerosis Research By Selling Poker Chips

FunClick, the social gaming label of Hands-On mobile, has announced the launch of a Chips For Charity promotion through its WPT Texas Hold ‘Em Poker game on Facebook to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Research. Donations (100 percent of the proceeds) will be made to the National MS Society and MS Hope For A Cure overtime a $5 Chip for Charity package, containing 75,000 poker chips, are purchased. Charitable causes are a great way to encourage users to purchase virtual currency and companies like Zynga have raised much money for causes like Haiti.

In a sense, FunClick is using a crowdfunding concept. FunClick promises to reward each user involved in donating an exclusive virtual good once the donations exceed the $50,000 mark. Although WPT Poker currently has 342,000 MAUs, encouraging and exciting fans should help FunClick meet its goal.

“I started playing poker right after I was diagnosed with MS, so I am thrilled to be a part of the WPT Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Chips for Charity promotion,” said EJ Levy, Founder and President of MS Hope for a Cure, in a press statement. “Poker is one of my passions and now poker fans all over the world can help find a cure for MS while having a great time at the online tables on Facebook. It’s a win-win for all.”

FunClick is the social gaming label of Hands-On Mobile, a firm we recently discussed as gaining a new CEO. The company is focused on the creation of original and branded social games that are “fun, free and easy to learn” and help connect people from around the world. We encourage you all to donate to this cause.
