Facebook reclaimed its throne atop the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards list of the 50 Best Places to Work for 2013, moving up from No. 3 in 2012 after finishing first in 2011.

Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg also fared well, receiving a CEO approval rating of 99 percent.

Glassdoor compiles its list with feedback from employees who elect to participate anonymously, and the jobs and career community shared the testimony of three Facebook staffers based out of the social network’s headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif.:

Product manager:

The company’s leadership truly believes in Facebook’s mission to make the world more open and connected. Teams are small and have a lot of autonomy, and it’s amazing to see how much of a difference a single person can make at this place.

Sales director:

Everyone there has an opportunity to make an impact. The company moves very fast and prides itself on running lean. This means autonomy and opportunity for almost every employee.

Manager, IT:

This is the best place in the world to be. The environment is all about engineers. Benefits, management, direction, and culture are all very, very positive items about the company.

Facebook Vice President of People and Recruiting Lori Goler said:

We’re honored to receive this award from Glassdoor. We strive to make Facebook a place where everyone is able to have an impact doing what they love. Receiving this award is a testament to the culture of builders we’ve worked hard to create.

And Glassdoor Co-Founder and CEO Robert Hohman added:

The Employees’ Choice Awards are one of the highest honors a company can receive, as it is an authentic and tangible reflection of employee satisfaction. Due to greater workplace transparency, information about what it’s like to work at particular companies is becoming increasingly influential as job seekers and employees consider their next career move.
