Lieber will be responsible for developing strategies to bring programs to market and identifying strategic opportunities for the social network to grow and evolve its ads partner ecosystem.
He starts at Twitter Jan. 6, based in New York and reporting to head of global agency and platform solutions Stephanie Prager.
At VidMob—a video advertising platform and creative partner of Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube and other platforms—Lieber oversaw application-programming interface strategy, helping to scale its data and production capabilities.
Prior to VidMob, he was one of the founders of Shift, one of the initial paid social partners of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
He also served as head of global partnership at VaynerMedia.
Prager said in a statement, “Our top priority is building a team that is focused on partnering with the advertising API ecosystem in developing solutions that our customers need to innovate, scale and deliver against business outcomes. We wanted to bring in a leader who has depth of knowledge and expertise with this ecosystem and who could identify strategic opportunities for Twitter to grow and evolve our offerings. Greg’s background, experience and tenure in this space will be essential in how we dial up the innovation and creativity we bring to our customers.”
Lieber added, “I’ve spent the past decade building solutions to help advertisers succeed on Twitter. I’m thrilled to now have the opportunity to help activate partner solutions for a platform that I’ve long-admired as a powerful tool for advertisers. I’m excited by Stephanie’s vision for the team, and I’m looking forward to creating programs that help partners succeed on Twitter.”
