Hitwise: Lifetime’s Army Wives Begins Its March

According to Hitwise, ABC and CBS retained the top two spots for broadcast-network Web sites for the week ending April 17, marking the fourth consecutive week they finished 1-2.

The top three broadcast-network-show Web sites were unchanged from the week of April 10: Fox’s American Idol, ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and CBS’ Survivor.

Comedy Central’s South Park claimed its usual spot atop the list of cable networks (adults only), with Comedy’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart overtaking BET’s 106 & Park for second place, dropping the latter to No. 3.

When combining broadcast and cable networks, the top three were also unchanged from the week of April 10: South Park, Idol, and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants.

For the second week in a row, the only fast riser on the broadcast list was Fox’s Glee (to No. 5 from No. 16).

Cable’s fast risers were Lifetime’s Army Wives (4 from 46), Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch (8 from 21), Spike’s Deadliest Warrior (14 from 58), BET’s The Mo’Nique Show (22 from 47), TBS’ Lopez Tonight (23 from 34), and The History Channel’s Monsterquest (25 from 36).

Fast risers among the top 25 Websites were Glee (11 from 41), Army Wives (14 from 101), and Deadliest Catch (20 from 64).
