Hitwise: The Real Housewives of New Jersey Dig Their Heels In

According to Hitwise, ABC and CBS claimed the top two spots for broadcast-network Web sites for the week ending May 8.

The top three broadcast-network-show Web sites were Fox’s American Idol, ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and CBS’ Survivor.

Comedy Central’s South Park topped the list of cable networks (adults only), with Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey finishing second and Comedy’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart at No. 3.

When combining broadcast and cable networks, South Park held the No. 1 spot, followed by Idol, and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants.

There were no fast risers on the broadcast list.

Cable’s fast risers were The Real Housewives of New Jersey (to No. 2 from No. 28), BET’s Sunday Best (9 from 22), Travel Channel’s Food Wars (12 from 37), VH1’s Basketball Wives (22 from 68), and AMC’s Breaking Bad (23 from 40).

Fast risers among the top 25 Websites were The Real Housewives of New Jersey (6 from 76), Nick’s Victorious (19 from 51), and Sunday Best (24 from 62).
