Holiday Stress? Drop to the Floor and Assume a Yoga Pose, Says Awkward Activewear Ad

Dealing with some holiday stress? Rather than having a full-blown meltdown in an endless checkout line or downing a bottle of wine in one sitting at the family party, this ad for Lucy activewear, directed by the fantastically funny Elizabeth Banks, suggests you stop, drop, and yoga.

The spot shows women dropping into “child’s pose” as an escape from high-anxiety situations like gift-giving disasters, coffee-meets-clothing mishaps, and other familiar holiday kerfuffles. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m totally trying this, and if it works, I’m going to start doing it while waiting in line at the store, every time a family member asks me a thinly-veiled disapproving question about my upcoming wedding, and maybe I’ll even try it at the mechanic later today when they inevitably tell me that fixing my blinkers will cost exactly what I have set aside for the rest of my Christmas gifts.

Sure, people might think I’ve fallen to my knees in passionate prayer or have narcolepsy, but hey, if it keeps me from losing my mind and becoming a tinsel-covered, sleep-deprived maniac like Lois Griffin in that episode of Family Guy, we’ll all be better off.
