Horn Group, Yahoo Internal Team Handle PR Around Yahoo’s Acquisition of Associated Content

Yahoo! acquired online content mill Associated Content today for around $90 million.

Agency Horn Group — where this PRNewser previously worked — has been working with Associated Content since 2009 and is handling PR for AC around the acquisition. Horn is touting the deal as their third major acquisition in recent years, after Right Media — also acquired by Yahoo — and Adify, which was acquired by Cox enterprises.

A Yahoo rep told PRNewser their PR efforts around the deal are being driven “totally by the in-house team.” Yahoo! works with agencies including DKC, Porter Novelli, Voce Communications and Outcast Communications.

Meanwhile, Ogilvy PR is peddling Rick Blair, CEO of Associated Content competitor Examiner.com to comment on the news. Their pitch after the jump.
