The Hot List: Still Bringing the Heat

Which titles will top the list?

Reports of the Hot List's demise are not only greatly exaggerated, but colossally wrong.

Keith Kelly may have "reported" in the New York Post that the Hot List has been "scrapped," but Adweek's annual roundup of the most successful and influential magazine titles of the year returns Monday to a regrooved Adweek—just as it has every year since the legendary Clay Felker launched the Hot List in the early '80s.

The numbers have been crunched and produced some surprising results. The rankings—based on financial performance metrics, influence footprint, and product quality indicators—yield big wins for one publisher in particular. In fact, what the numbers show is that the traditional power and prestige in the magazine industry has lately been turned on its ear.

Also, there is a new Queen of Fashion in town. Any guesses who that might be? There's only one way to find out for sure. See you Monday.
