HuffPost Business Adds Senior Reporter

Kim Bhasin is joining Huffington Post Business as a senior reporter. He comes to the site from Business Insider, where he had worked for the past two years.

According to a memo from Peter Goodman, HuffPost’s executive business editor, at HuffPost Bhasin will be focusing on retail and the food industry.

Goodman’s full note is below.

Dear All,

We’re delighted to share word that we have snagged the highly talented and energetic Kim Bhasin, who joins HuffPost Business as a senior reporter later this month by way of Business Insider. He will focus on retail, the food industry and any and all consumer-facing companies doing any and all manner of interesting things. Writing frequently and aggressively, Kim will connect the daily flow of business news and the unseen river of below surface corporate happenings to the real life concerns and obsessions of our general readership — from food safety and the engineering of fast food to the not-accidental geography of shopping.
Originally from Singapore, Kim grew up in Michigan and eventually landed in New York, where he gained an MBA from Pace University and enrolled in the business reporting program at the NYU journalism school. For the past two years, he has been tearing it up at Business Insider — his run of scoops on the inner turmoil at JC Penney has been particularly impressive — while demonstrating an admirable  ability to juggle fast-breaking news with the development of deeper enterprise.
We are thrilled to add Kim to the team. He starts April 22nd here in New York. Please join us in giving him a great welcome.
