Instagram: ‘Watch Halloween’s Best Videos’ — Reaction to Twitter’s Moments?

Instagram used Halloween as the occasion to launch its newest feature: curated content streams.

Re/code reported that Instagram users who launched the application Saturday saw a prompt at the top of their feeds, reading, “Watch Halloween’s Best Videos.”

Clicking on that prompt brought users to a content feed of Halloween-related videos curated by Instagram employees, according to Re/code, with a spokesperson for the Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network telling Re/code the Halloween feed was “just the start,” and adding:

This is a new way to experience events and big moments, as they happen, through the eyes of the Instagram community.

Re/code compared curated content streams from Instagram to recently launched features on other social networks: Live Stories on Snapchat and Moments on Twitter.
