Step 1: Once you’ve taken or imported a photo or video in Stories, tap the Stickers icon near the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap the Challenge sticker.

Step 3: Type the name of the challenge your post is associated with. Note: As of this writing, you can’t create your own challenges using this sticker. Instead, you must use the name of a pre-existing challenge. Also note that you can tap the colorful sticker at the top of the screen to change the color of the sticker.

Step 4: Once you type the name of the challenge, challenges that match will appear above your device’s keyboard. Tap the challenge your post is associated with.

Step 5: If you want to nominate another Instagram user to participate in the challenge, type their username. Note: You can change the color of this nomination text by tapping the colorful circle at the top of the screen.

Step 6: Tap the user’s profile picture above your device’s keyboard.

Step 7: You can repeat Steps 5 and 6 to nominate multiple users. When you’re done editing the sticker, tap “Done” in the top-right corner of the screen.

From there, you can rotate, resize and drag the sticker around the screen to best fit your post before sharing it.
