The Yahoo! Mobile Blog has an interesting reading of:
In it, Ginny Hung reports that iPad users are over-represented in the 30 to 54 year age ranges and underpresented in the under 30 portion of the Yahoo! user population. The 21 to 29 year group is underrepresented by -23% while the under 20 group is underrepresented by -39%. This is understandable given the income differences in the two major groups.
There is the question, however, of whether Yahoo! users in general and young (under 30) Yahoo! users are somehow different from the general population. It would be interesting to see similar analysis from Google and Microsoft (Bing) to compare.
