THR Welcomes New Brand Partnerships VP

Billboard's Julian Holguin has been rewarded with a promotion and twice the opportunity.

As vice president of brand partnerships at our sister publication Billboard, Julian Holguin (pictured) oversaw the launch of Billboard Winterfest at this year’s Sundance Film Festival as well as the Latin music concert series Billboard En Vivo. He was also an instrumental part of this summer’s inaugural Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival, held in late August at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y.

Now comes a big promotion. Holguin has been upped to senior vice president of brand partnerships for Billboard and, additionally, The Hollywood Reporter:

“Julian’s ethic and vision have been instrumental in driving strong consumer sales for the next generation of media,” said John Amato, co-president of Billboard and THR. “We expect his leadership and dedication to serve The Hollywood Reporter well as the media landscape evolves.”

Holguin started out as a digital account executive with the New York Daily News and has also worked for NBCUniversal and the BBC. He first joined Billboard in 2012 as director of brand partnerships and, in this new double role, will continue to report to Amato.
